We liked the quiet rural environment, the comfortable bed and tasteful decor. The kitchen was well-equipped with a large fridge and it was pleasant watching the huge number of birds from the patio. The hostess was very welcoming and provided detailed instructions on finding the property and using the appliances.

Lovely little cottage. It felt cosy and inviting. The garden, with birds nibbling away at the bird feeders, was a relaxed space to sit with a coffee first thing. This felt like a perfect getaway for couples and it was a shame we didn’t have more time to spend there chilling out and soaking up the country vibes. I thought it would have been an amazing retreat to write, walk and unplug. We might be back!

It’s a slight trek to the coast, but only about a 30 min drive.

We booked Little Lock Cottage for four nights. We were greeted by our host on arrival who explained a few things about the cottage which was very helpful. There was complimentary bread, butter and milk in the fridge for us which was a nice touch. The cottage was very clean and warm. It is in a slightly remote location but still has easy access to towns which suited us and it was easy to find. There are plenty of walks nearby. We used Little Lock Cottage as a base while visiting family in Sussex. All in all a great place to stay.

We liked everything about the cottage.
